overheating

loss of heat progressively getting worse added coolant and would work for a while. Then started to run hot often finally radiator blew apart engine got very hot. Now takes forever to start. when it does start it runs very rough at idle but acclerate and runs fine.

2002 Nissan altima 2,5

Already Tried:
I removed thermostat before radiator blew tried some stop leak was going to replace head gasket but I don't think that was the problem
