I am working on a 1985 300zx (non-turbo). The air

I am working on a 1985 300zx (non-turbo). The air conditioning system was converted prior to it being brought to me. The system was not flushed before installing the 134a and I drained almost a quart of refridgerant oil from it. I replaced the compressor, evaporator & receiver drier & flushed the complete system, then pulled a vacuum that held for over 12 hours. The compressor is working because the high pressure tube is hot and the low pressure tube is cold to the touch. However, the system does not cool and and the pressure is equal regardless of the engine RPM. Movement of the coolant is visible through the sight glass. Can you PLEASE help?

I can get back to working on this thing this weekend and will let you know what I find. In the meantime, do you possibly know the a/c coolant capacity for this unit?

It really is a pleasure to find that there are still Master Mechanics out there. Even local Nissan dealerships could not help out because the car is JUST TOO OLD. If you ever need any answers for air cooled Volkswagons, I'm your guy! Old guys need to stick together.
