Had the timing chain replaced on a 1998 Nissan Sentra..mechanic now says it''s only been advanced and that there are issues with the Cyclinder 3...would a valve job fix this

OK.Thanks,If he did a compression test on cylinder #3 then if he found low compression,yes it may solve the problem.These cars also have a tendency to develope leaking head gaskets.If there is a misfire code,or a misfire on startup,he may want to pressure test the cooling system and make sure there is no coolant going into the cylinder.Pressure test the cooling system and leave it on for an hour or so,then pull the plug and look for coolant in the cylinder.Hope this helps!Thanks
