hello, I own a 2003 nissan altima, and I have replaced the crankshaft position sensor within the past year. My car is still giving me problems, ie. stalling. Now come to find out, there is a new "improved" sensor that nissan put out to correct this problem. When did this new "improved" sensor hit the market?

Already Tried:
replaced crankshaft position sensor and speed sensor. told recently by nissan that the new replaced crankshaft position is defective? what ??

Hi!

There is a new sensor and a ECM reprogram for your car call your dealer it is covered under the warranty, it has been out for about a month now for stalling problems, Hope this helps ROY!

I just brought my car to the nissan dealer 2/27/08 for a 60,000 mile check and I voiced my problem with the crankshaft sensor, and they told me I had to paid to paid for the new sensor and labor.. is the recall on all 2003 altima's or selected models??
Is this a recall issue?

Go figure!
but to answer my orginal question, do you know when the new redesigned crankshaft position came out? my problem is that I had a the crankshaft position sensor already replaced within the past yr. and now nissan is telling me that the sensor i have is defected and there is a new redesigned senor. I don't understand? i just had this replaced?
