roy i talked to you the other day 1998 nissan altima you told me to try some carb cleaner around the intake manifold i did thats not it the idle didnt change while i am under the hood if i grab the throttle with my hand and hit it the car goes put put put and then it will rev up and sound fine but put it in drive and step on the gas and it has no power what do you think

HI!

This sounds like your car is lean not enough fuel, could be an Air flow meter going bad.

the air flow measures the amount of air going into your engine so the control unit can adjust the amount of fuel it will need to run. you could also have dirty fuel injectors, I would have them cleaned with an injector cleaner first.
